Q. Do I need a passport to participate in an international business seminar?

Q. Do I need a visa?
It depends upon the country. Please refer to the brochure for the seminar you are interested in.
Q. Do I need shots or immunizations when traveling abroad?
Inoculations are neither encouraged nor discouraged by DePaul University. It is recommended that you consult with your personal physician regarding this matter.
Q. Do I need medical insurance to participate in an international business seminar?
Yes. It is a DePaul policy that all students traveling abroad have medical insurance. However, the Driehaus Center will provide students with the required health insurance coverage via HTH Global Health and Safety Services at no additional cost. Q. Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
While travel insurance is optional, IT IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.
Q. Do I need to register for the seminar in order to get course credit?
Yes. Students will be required to register themselves for the appropriate course and section. The Driehaus Center will not handle course registration, but will provide students with necessary course registration instructions.
Q. Can I deviate from the seminar flight itinerary?
Unfortunately, no. Deviations from the group generally have a negative effect on our group rates and make it difficult for the faculty leaders to keep track of the group.
Q. How many credit hours will I receive for participating in a Driehaus Center 7-10 day International Seminar?
You will receive four credit hours.
Q. What courses will I be registered for if I participate in a Driehaus Center 7-10 day International Seminar?
Undergraduate students will be registered for I.C.S.-350. Graduate students will be registered for I.B.-750. (Elective credit for both). It is the responsibility of each student to meet with an academic advisor to determine where the seminar best fits into their program of study. For undergraduate students, the seminar may count for experiential learning or international perspective credit. Depending upon your concentration, the seminar may also count toward your MBA concentration. The pass/fail grading option may not be applied to seminar courses.
Q. How can I submit payment for the seminars?
Payments may be submitted directly to the Driehaus Center via credit card by completing a credit card authorization form. AMEX, DISCOVER, MC, and VISA are accepted. Payments may also be submitted via check payable to DePaul University.
Q. Is tuition included in the cost of the seminars?
No. Tuition charges will be assessed in the normal manner within a given quarter and paid directly to Student Accounts.
